Alexis Sanchez scored twice for Arsenal as Arsene Wenger’s side returned to winning ways with a scrappy 2-0 win over Hull City at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Hull City fought valiantly throughout the match and showed instances of brilliance in attack, but in the end it was Arsene Wenger’s men who triumphed to climb over Manchester City into third place, level on 50 points with Tottenham Hotspur.
Alexis Sanchez scored both the goals for Arsenal in a match in which the hosts were far from their best. However, it was the first of those goals that has been a topic of fierce debate with Sanchez diverting the ball into the net with his hand after it rebounded from Eldin Jakupovic.
