Sergio Ramos nearly went from hero to zero before Dani Carvajal struck an open goal to ensure a 2-1 win for Real Madrid over Alaves at the Mendizorrotza.
After a dull first half, the game sprang into life when Sergio Ramos headed Real Madrid into the lead in the 52nd, nodding the ball in from a Toni Kroos cross. 13 minutes later, Ramos fouled Joselu to concede a penalty, which was converted by Lucas Perez to bring the game back to level terms.
Shortly after, though, Real Madrid had their lead back, as Dani Carvajal scored from point-blank range to make it 2-1. The visitors held on to their slender advantage and reached the summit of La Liga. And, Ramos was the hotly-discussed topic on social media after an all-action outing.

Sergio Ramos is an elite defender but he does give away penalties way too often and is rash with his tackles most of the time.

Why does Ramos do this? I mean what’s the point? It’s just putting your team under unnecessary pressure, as much as I adore him, it’s impossible for Madrid fans not to have a bitter taste of frustration when it comes to Ramos.
