Diego Costa ended another troubled week on a high note as the striker put Chelsea on course for the FA Cup fourth round with the opener in their 2-0 win over third tier Scunthorpe on Sunday. Costa and team-mate Oscar almost came to blows before being separated by their fellow players after an aggressive knee-high tackle on the Spain striker by his Brazilian colleague sparking a furious exchange during a training session this week. Blues interim boss Guus Hiddink had tried to laugh off the incident, but the ugly scene was the latest controversial moment involving the temperamental Costa and threatened to cast a shadow over the start of Chelsea’s bid to win the FA Cup for the first time since 2012. Costa was on his best behaviour on this occasion as he put the Blues ahead early on at Stamford Bridge before teenage midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek came off the bench to seal the win with his first Chelsea goal […]

Chelsea had been trying to offload misfiring Colombian forward Radamel Falcao, but it looks like they’re stuck with him for the rest of the season as AS Monaco expressed their disinterest in taking him back. 29-year-old Radamel Falcao made a name for himself as one of the most dangerous strikers in the world at clubs like Porto and Atletico Madrid, but the man who was once referred to as El Tigre seems to have lost his predatory instincts and status after a knee injury in early 2014. The most recent humiliation he faced was when Chelsea FC, who had signed him on a one year loan, were rumoured to be trying to get him back to parent club AS Monaco. It looks like the French club would prefer that he stay at Stamford Bridge, considering the fact that he’s just scored one goal this season and has been sidelined again with an injury. “Falcao is currently injured. He has to wait for […]
