Real Madrid superstar Karim Benzema confronted manager Carlo Ancelotti in the aftermath of their 1-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

According to El Chiringuito TV, Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and manager Carlo Ancelotti were involved in an altercation after the club lost 1-0 to PSG in their UEFA Champions Round of 16 first-leg tie.

Real Madrid faced the Parisian giants in a blockbuster encounter on Tuesday night at Parc des Princes. Los Blancos turned in one of their worst performances in recent memory as they set up with a completely defensive outlook, hardly threatening in attack, allowing their opponents to control the game for large chunks.

It was only due to the brilliance of Thibaut Courtois and some stout defending from Eder Militao and David Alaba that the Spanish bigwigs were able to maintain parity up until the stoppage time. However, their primary transfer target for the summer window, Kylian Mbappe, scored an injury-time winner to put PSG in the driver’s seat in the knockout tie.

Fans and pundits have widely criticised Ancelotti’s tactics on the night. And, it seems like the way the team set up in Paris did not go down too well with some of the Italian tactician’s own players.

As per the report, Benzema was unhappy with how Ancelotti approached this huge encounter and confronted the manager to let him know exactly how he felt. It is claimed that the French striker told the Italian tactician that the tactics he chose were wrong while adding that this was one of Real Madrid’s worst displays ever.

In retort, Ancelotti is understood to have lashed out at Benzema for pushing to start the game despite not being fully fit. The French international had missed the last few matches due to injury and was touch and go for the clash against Paris. However, he pushed to return and started the game at Parc des Princes but failed to make much of an impact, which Ancelotti is believed to have pointed out to him.

Things seem to be a bit unsteady at Real Madrid at the moment, with their league form also blowing hot and cold recently. All of this has led to question marks over Ancelotti’s future in the hot seat. Mauricio Pochettino is already being touted as a replacement for the veteran Italian.

Carlo must change his tactics and he must start players like Hazard and Valvede because Marco Asensio is useless I think Hazard or Bale will be better

We are Madrid! Champions league is our league, champion is our cup. We have many champions league title cup than other clubs across the world.. We have to comeback stronger than the world are expecting.. We can turn everything around with our tactics and attacking..
The game again’st paris was the worst game ever madrid played in champions league, Really paris are champions league challangers but they have to respect us at the bernebau. It’s time for carlo Ancelotti to trust teenagers like Fede Valverde, Camavinga rodrygo and miguel gutirrez, if he considers paris squad contain a lot of teenagers like Nuno mendes 19 year old portugues and Achraf Hakimi who was known as defender attacker…

Carlo Ancelotti has to change the style of his coaching by trusting old players like Eden Hazard, Gareth bale Marcelo, Lucas Vasquez and Nach fernandez by starting with them if possible some times…. You have to start with Eden Hazard when the paris Players get tired then used vinicius to make them tired all the way…

At the end i was a Madrid fan no matter the situation i accept it! I believed in my team, president, coaches and the players… I believed that you can win today, you can loose tomorrow! That’s football… But many people are rejoicing when real madrid was defeated because they are the best… I wish we will eliminate paris in the santiago…
