Liverpool are among the clubs closely monitoring the development of Le Havre youngster Andy Elysee Logbo.
Foot Mercato have recently profiled Andy Elysee Logbo, the Le Havre youngster who is regarded as one of the best talents in French football. Logbo is already making waves in the country with his performances in the youth competitions, which have now put various clubs on red alert.
While Ligue 1 clubs are already keeping close tabs on Logbo’s development, the 17-year-old has also emerged as a potential target for Premier League giants Liverpool.
A native of Paris, Logbo’s imposing physique, coupled with his energy and willingness to involve himself in duels, has led many to compare him with Chelsea frontman Romelu Lukaku. In addition to his physique, the teenage sensation has the speed and the work rate to become a useful asset in the first line of press.
It has made him an ideal target for Jurgen Klopp as he looks to build the base of the future Liverpool attack amid the uncertain future of some of his attacking stars. Mohamed Salah, for one, is yet to reach a new agreement with Liverpool with his contract expiring in 2023. The Egyptian wizard may well leave the club in the summer, whereas Roberto Firmino’s future at Anfield isn’t guaranteed either.

Liverpool could lose another forward in the form of Divock Origi. The Belgian remained at Liverpool in January despite interest from West Ham, but he is guaranteed to leave the club in the summer in search of regular game-time elsewhere.
It has accentuated the need for reinforcements in the offensive department, with Klopp particularly looking for young prospects that have the ability to become an asset for the club in the future. The Reds are already eyeing a summer swoop for Fulham’s Fabio Carvalho, and it won’t be surprising to see Logbo joining the ranks.
Given his profile and ability on the pitch, the 17-year-old certainly has what it takes to become a vital part of Klopp’s project in the future. However, Liverpool are expected to face stiff competition in the pursuit of the Le Havre starlet as he looks to take the next step in his career.
