Liverpool are reportedly closely monitoring the situation of Paulo Dybala, who faces an uncertain future at Juventus.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Liverpool are keeping close tabs on Paulo Dybala. The 28-year-old Juventus forward is awaiting a February meeting with the Serie A club’s hierarchy surrounding a potential contract extension. His current deal in Turin expires at the end of the season, which has put multiple clubs on alert.

Liverpool are joined by Inter Milan in the queue of clubs closely monitoring the situation of Dybala. The Argentine international appears to have a liking towards Liverpool, who are now weighing up a potential offer for the attacker in the coming weeks.

Formerly of Palermo, Dybala is regarded as one of the best players in Serie A. The 28-year-old has been a consistent performer in the Italian top-flight over the years, having netted 95 goals while bagging 45 assists in 259 appearances. His tally of 111 goals of Juventus is also impressive, considering the forward is not a fully-fledged number nine.

The Argentine’s unrivalled success in Serie A has now attracted the interest of Liverpool, who are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements in the summer window.

With concerns rising over the long-term future of Mohamed Salah, coupled with Roberto Firmino’s injury woes, Jurgen Klopp is looking for a new addition that can complement the other attackers in the final third. The Reds have been linked with a move for Christopher Nkunku, but it won’t be surprising to see Klopp banking on a more established forward in the summer.

Having featured in the Italian top-flight for over seven years, Dybala fits the bill well. He brings a wealth of experience at the highest level of football while his technical prowess could combine well with the likes of Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota.

What makes the Argentine international such an appealing target for Liverpool, though, is his contract situation with Juventus. Amid reports pointing towards Dusan Vlahovic’s imminent move to Turin, the Serie A club could find it difficult to convince the player to prolong his stay at the Allianz Stadium, potentially paving the way for Liverpool to make a move.

With Dybala’s contract expiring at the end of the season, the 28-year-old attacker should be available for free, giving Liverpool an excellent opportunity to bag a bargain in the coming summer.
