Burnley are reportedly seeking immediate attacking reinforcements, with Mislav Orsic, a target for Arsenal, considered an option.

According to The Sun, Burnley are prepared to join the chase for Mislav Orsic, although they will have to compete with fellow Premier League clubs Arsenal and West Ham United in the race to sign the Dinamo Zagreb forward.

Mislav Orsic is renowned in England as the Dinamo Zagreb forward who ousted Tottenham from the UEFA Europa League last season by scoring a sensational hat-trick. The Croat further enhanced his reputation by scoring against West Ham United in December 2021.

The 29-year-old could be leaving Dinamo Zagreb soon as he attracts plenty of interest from the Premier League. Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing the forward this month, as Mikel Arteta looks to bring in a versatile player to consistently influence the proceedings in the final third.

While they have considered options such as Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus, the Swede is regarded as an expensive option compared to Orsic. The Croatian forward is reportedly available for £10 million. The price tag could be enticing enough for the Gunners, although they face intense competition from London rivals West Ham and relegation battlers Burnley.

The Hammers are keen on adding a new forward to their squad in the ongoing transfer window. The Londoners needs attackers to strengthen their squad, which looks very thin. They have been tailing Jesse Lingard to add to their attacking options, but the Manchester United playmaker may consider remaining at Manchester United or joining Newcastle United if an opportunity arises.

Burnley have become the latest club to register an interest in the Croat. Sean Dyche is seeking immediate reinforcements in the attack after the shock departure of key striker Chris Wood. While the Clarets were thinking of bringing in a new centre-forward, they might also look at signing a wide man.

Orsic could be a good option considering he will get to challenge in the Premier League. With Burnley currently languishing at the bottom of the Premier League table, it remains to be seen if fighting a relegation battle entices the 29-year-old.

If Arsenal or West Ham make a concrete offer for Orsic, it is hard to see him even considering joining Burnley. However, at Turf Moor, he could push immediately towards starting for the team week in week out, which will be difficult if he joins Arsenal or West Ham.
