Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace are among the clubs vying for the services of Celtic whizkid Mitchel Frame.

According to Football Scotland, Celtic are set for a battle in their quest to keep hold of Mitchel Frame. The young defender is regarded as one of the most gifted products in the club’s academy and currently plies his trade for Celtic’s Under-17 setup. However, his spell in Glasgow could soon come to an end, with Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and Wolves interested in his services.

The report adds that all three Premier League clubs have offered the 15-year-old a three-year contract. Frame is set to turn 16 next month, making him eligible to sign a professional deal.

A left-back by trade, Frame has made a solid impression in the youth ranks in Scottish football. As iterated earlier, he is already a part of the Celtic U-17 and has also represented Scotland at the youth level. He is seemingly regarded as one of the best up and coming talents in Scottish football that has produced a host of quality young players in recent years.

Especially in the fullback area, Scotland have produced many talented individuals, with Nathan Patterson notably making headlines by joining Everton earlier in the January transfer window.

The likes of Tottenham and Crystal Palace are hoping for a similar level of success with the addition of Mitchel Frame. Spurs, in particular, are in the market for a new left-back that can offer competition for Sergio Reguilon, especially with Ryan Sessegnon facing an uncertain future at the club.

The former Fulham youngster was reportedly offered to Wolves in a swap deal this month, and his days in North London seem numbered. Head coach Antonio Conte will hope to replace the Englishman with a budding youngster like Frame, although the Scot is likely to be brought in as a member of the club’s youth ranks.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace’s pursuit of the 15-year-old is not very surprising either, as Patrick Vieira lacks a proper backup for Tyrick Mitchell on the senior side. While Frame has a long way to go before he can be considered at the professional level, it appears these Premier League clubs rate the youngster highly and believe he has what it takes to become a star player in the future.

However, both Tottenham and Palace are set to face strong resistance from Celtic in the pursuit of Frame. The Hoops have lost several young and talented individuals in the recent past and will be keen on keeping hold of Frame, possibly giving him a promotion to the senior side by the start of next season.
