Premier League heavyweights Liverpool are readying a multi-million euro transfer offer for Villarreal star Arnaut Danjuma.

According to Fichajes, Premier League giants Liverpool are ready to splash the cash to land Dutch international winger Arnaut Danjuma who continues to impress in the Spanish top flight.

The 24-year-old moved to Villarreal last summer from English second division side Bournemouth. Beset by injuries and inconsistency during his stint with the Cherries, he now looks a different player in Spain. Danjuma has represented the Yellow Submarines 18 times this season, scoring nine times and assisting three more.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, and Liverpool are keeping a close eye on developments. The Reds are currently readying a massive €45 million offer for Danjuma’s services as they appear ready to take a punt on the 24-year-old in the ongoing January transfer window.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have one of the most potent attacks in world football. However, they will now have to do without Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, who are set to represent their nations at this month’s AFCON. While it can hand the likes of Diogo Jota more playtime, it leaves Klopp’s options upfront stretched. Therefore, it makes sense that the Reds are keen to splash the cash on Danjuma right now.

The flying winger could be an excellent deputy for Salah and Mane and could easily slot in the Reds’ attack. A versatile player capable of playing anywhere along the frontline, Danjuma has the traits necessary to succeed at Anfield. More so, working under a manager such as Klopp will only help enhance his game even further.

Danjuma also spent two seasons at Bournemouth. While his stint at the Vitality Stadium wasn’t the best, the ability the youngster possessed was never in doubt. He also has a good idea of the traits needed to succeed in English football. Should he move to Anfield, it will be a triumphant return for a player who looked lost at Bournemouth.

In Diogo Jota, Liverpool have gotten themselves a dependable fourth option, and Divock Origi continues to write his name into history books after coming off the bench. Takumi Minamino has had his moments but hasn’t quite reached the levels expected of him.

The Reds could do with another attacker like Danjuma, who has both dynamism and potential to offer. The 24-year-old has the makings of a reliable winger who can be in the thick of goals for years to come.

Liverpool could steal a match on their rivals by moving swiftly to land Danjuma’s signature. Getting deals over the line with minimal fuss has become a landmark of the Reds’ activity in the transfer market in recent years. Whether Danjuma will be the latest man in through the door remains to be seen.
