Casemiro is reportedly ready to join Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, with Real Madrid open to a sale if an offer of €60 million comes along.

According to a report from El Nacional, Real Madrid midfielder is open to the possibility of moving to French heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window as he seeks a last big contract in his career.

The Brazilian enforcer has been with Real Madrid for over eight years now, having joined from Sao Paulo in 2013. After a loan spell with FC Porto in 2014/15, Casemiro has been a permanent fixture in the middle of the park for the Merengues ever since, racking up 305 appearances in which he has scored 30 goals and setting up 26 more.

The 29-year-old has been an integral part of all the glory Real Madrid have achieved over the past half a decade and continues to essay an important role to this day, having missed just one game across all competitions in the ongoing campaign under Carlo Ancelotti.

Casemiro signed a new contract with Real Madrid in August earlier this year, extending his stay at the club till 2025. However, the midfielder is courting serious interest from French giants PSGLes Parisiens are looking to assemble an all-star squad as they look to achieve the Champions League glory that has continued to elude them.

Indeed, they recruited the likes of Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnaruma, Georginio Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi this past summer and look set to push for more superstar additions over the next couple of transfer windows, with Paul Pogba on their radars. At the same time, Casemiro has also emerged as a key target.

The Brazilian’s experience, pedigree and winning mentality could be vital in the French capital club’s pursuit of European success. Now, it is being claimed that the midfielder would be open to the prospect of signing for PSG, as it would give him an opportunity to earn a bumper contract while uniting him with international teammates Neymar, Marquinhos as well as former Real Madrid skipper Ramos.

The Merengues, for their part, continue to regard him as a vital player. However, club president Florentino Perez will not stand in the way of an exit if PSG were to submit an offer of €60 million for Casemiro. In addition, it is also claimed that Real Madrid have already narrowed in on AS Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni as a replacement for the Brazilian international, although they face competition from Newcastle.

It remains to be seen if PSG are willing to act on their reported interest in Casemiro and come up with an offer at the end of the season, which Real Madrid are willing to accept.
