Manchester City are reportedly among the clubs keen on signing 21-year-old Swedish attacker Dejan Kulusevski from Serie A giants Juventus.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Dejan Kulusevski is the subject of interest from Manchester City over a move in the January transfer window. The 21-year-old attacker is eager to call it quits at Serie A club Juventus this winter.

Dejan Kulusevski was signed by Juventus from Atalanta in January 2020 and immediately sent out on loan to Parma for the remainder of the 2019/20 season. Following an impressive spell with Parma, the Swede returned to the Allianz Stadium. In his first full season, the youngster proved to be one of the best players in a difficult campaign for the Bianconeri.

However, Kulusevski has struggled to make an impression since the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri, with just one goal and an assist apiece in 15 appearances across all competitions, starting only two games thus far. Things have now reached a head for the 21-year-old, who is eager to end his frustrations by leaving Juventus in the January transfer window. And Manchester City are one of his prospective suitors.

Manchester City could be forced into the transfer market for a wide attacking reinforcement amid uncertainties surrounding the future of Raheem Sterling. The English international has been linked with a January move to Barcelona, who are prioritising his transfer.

If the 26-year-old indeed departs the Etihad, Manchester City will need to bring in a replacement. Meanwhile, in addition to Sterling, Riyad Mahrez also has question marks surrounding his future at the club, with the Algerian attacker on Barcelona’s radar as well.

So, one way or another, Manchester City might need to enter the transfer market for a wide attacker, making Kulusevski a viable target. The 21-year-old Swedish international can also play through the centre, making him an even more appealing an option for the Premier League champions.

Apart from Manchester City, Bayern Munich have also been named as a prospective suitor, while Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have also been linked with the Juventus forward. With the player eager to call it quits in Turin, it remains to be seen if his stint with the Serie A giants draws to a close in January.
