Out-of-favour Real Madrid trio Alvaro Odriozola, Luka Jovic and Borja Mayoral have emerged as transfer targets for Serie A side Fiorentina.

According to a report from Fichajes, Serie A outfit Fiorentina are interested in signing Real Madrid trio Alvaro Odriozola, Borja Mayoral and Luka Jovic permanently.

Odriozola signed for Real Madrid from fellow La Liga club Real Sociedad in the summer of 2018 but has struggled to make the kind of impact expected of him. He spent half a season away on loan at Bayern Munich last year but failed to impress upon returning to the Spanish capital outfit the previous season.

This past summer saw Odriozola leave Real Madrid and sign for Fiorentina on a season-long loan deal. He has featured nine times in the Serie A for the Viola registering an assist. And, now it is being claimed that they wish to sign him permanently at the end of the ongoing campaign.

However, Odriozola is not the only Real Madrid player that Fiorentina have their sights set on, with striker Borja Mayoral also a subject of interest. The 24-year-old, a product of the Merengues’ youth academy, has managed just 33 appearances for the first team in which he has produced a return of seven goals.

Mayoral joined Italian giants AS Roma on a two-year loan deal last year. The Spaniard enjoyed a solid campaign last time out but has struggled this term. New manager Jose Mourinho does not favour him and wants to axe him as early as the January transfer window, with Fiorentina now interested in the prospect of signing him as a possible replacement for star man Dusan Vlahovic, who is exit-bound.

The third Real Madrid player that the Viola are looking at is another out-of-favour striker in the form of Luka Jovic. The Serbian international generated a lot of excitement when he joined Los Blancos from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2019 in a big-money deal. However, he has struggled big-time at the Bernabeu, scoring just twice in 39 matches.

Jovic is attracting plenty of interest from clubs across Europe heading into the January transfer window, with Fiorentina among the teams keen on signing him. It will be interesting to see if the Italian outfit have the financial muscle to pull off these deals, although loan arrangements could also be worked out.
