Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly keen on signing Eden Hazard from Real Madrid on a loan move in the January transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Juventus are the latest club to show an interest in signing Eden Hazard. The Serie A giants want to secure the services of the Real Madrid misfit in the January transfer window, albeit on a loan deal.

Eden Hazard joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in a dream move in the summer of 2019. Ironically, though, the Belgian international’s fortunes have come crashing down despite achieving his dream of playing for Los Blancos, with a myriad of injuries hampering him greatly.

To date, the 30-year-old has turned out just 54 times for Real Madrid while amassing a paltry tally of five goals and nine assists in the process. With his career headed nowhere at the club, there is a feeling that Hazard could be on his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu, either in January or next summer. And Juventus are ready to offer him an escape route out of Real Madrid.

The interest from Juventus is understandable, considering their struggles in the ongoing season. Their most consistent wide attacker last season, Federico Chiesa, is experiencing some hangovers from the busy summer, wherein he played a key role in Italy’s UEFA Euro 2020 triumph.

In addition, Federico Bernardeschi tends to blow hot and cold, while Dejan Kulusevski seems out of favour with Massimiliano Allegri, amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur. As a result, the Serie A giants have been linked with quite a few wide attackers lately, with Real Madrid misfit Hazard a viable target.

The report suggests that Juventus want to sign Hazard on loan in the January transfer window. However, whether the deal will include an option to buy him next summer or if Real Madrid will mandate his purchase with an obligation clause is not mentioned.

In addition to the Serie A outfit, Liverpool have also been touted as potential January suitors. So, there appears to be no shortage of suitors in pursuit of Hazard, and it remains to be seen if his nightmare at Real Madrid comes to an end in the January transfer window.
