Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are reportedly keeping tabs on three Chelsea players, including Christian Pulisic.

If a report from TEAMtalk is to be believed, Borussia Dortmund are keeping an eye on three Chelsea players as part of their potential squad revamp next season. The Bundesliga giants anticipate the sale of star player Erling Haaland and are prepared to utilise his transfer revenue to add more quality to the team.

Chelsea’s offensive trio in Timo Werner, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic has emerged as three potential targets for Die Schwarzgelben. It appears the Germans are not only keen on replacing Haaland but also intend to increase the overall quality of their creative department next season.

Dortmund were linked with a move for Hudson-Odoi late in the summer transfer window. But the move was blocked by Thomas Tuchel, citing a lack of depth on the right flank. It was not a bad decision by the German tactician, who has managed to hand more game-time to the young Englishman this season.

Pulisic, on the other hand, had arrived at Chelsea from BVB back in 2019. Unfortunately, the American international has struggled with injuries and has fallen down the pecking order. He has started only one league game all season so far, although that is partly because he is suffering from an ankle injury.

The 23-year-old has recently returned to training. But it will take a while before the Chelsea winger can rekindle his old form and fight his way back into the starting eleven.

As for Timo Werner, he is likely being targeted as a direct replacement for Haaland. The Chelsea forward is not a lethal goalscorer like the Dortmund superstar, but he does offer a wealth of experience and has an excellent track record in the Bundesliga.

The German’s confidence has taken a mighty hit due to his poor performances at Chelsea. But that has n’t deterred clubs like Newcastle United and Atletico Madrid from establishing themselves as potential suitors for the striker.

And it appears Borussia Dortmund, too, are prepared to offer Werner a career lifeline by inviting him to the Signal Iduna Park. However, it remains unlikely that the  Chelsea striker will be considered a serious target due to his style of play and shoddy form in front of goal.

Pulisic, meanwhile, has hefty wage demands that could deter the Bundesliga outfit while it appears unlikely that Hudson-Odoi will be allowed to leave Chelsea, especially now that he is slowly starting to receive more first-team opportunities at the club.
