Real Madrid are reportedly willing to pay the full release clause amount to secure the services of Spanish prodigy Yeremi Pino from Villarreal.

According to a report from Eduardo Inda on El Chiringuito TV, Real Madrid are willing to pay the entire release clause amount embedded in the contract of Villarreal winger Yeremi Pino to lure him to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Pino came through the youth ranks at Las Palmas and CD Roda before switching to Villarreal in the summer of 2019. Initially assigned to the club’s C team, the teenager was fast-tracked into the senior squad last season by Unai Emery owing to the immense potential that he showed.

Since making his first-team debut in October 2020, Pino has featured 50 times across all competitions for the Yellow Submarine, bagging nine goals and four assists in the process. The 19-year-old’s form saw him break into the Spanish national team, making his debut for La Roja earlier this month.

Pino’s rapid rise in stature in Spain has not gone unnoticed, with Real Madrid and Barcelona taking an interest in the winger. At the same time, there have been reports of interest from Premier League giants Arsenal as well.

It now seems like Real Madrid are ready to take their interest in the two-time capped Spanish international one step further. As per the report mentioned above, Los Blancos are prepared to match the release clause amount in Pino’s contract to secure his signing in the future transfer windows.

Transfer Market Web mentions that the said release clause stands at €30 million. Reports earlier this month had indicated that Real Madrid were unwilling to match that figure. However, that stance seems to have changed now if the update from Eduardo Inda is to be believed.

The Spanish capital club have no shortage of options in the attacking third of the pitch. However, Gareth Bale is out of contract at the end of the season, while Eden Hazard looks like a spent force, bogged down by recurrent injury problems. So, there could be room for another wide player to come into the fold at the Santiago Bernabeu next year, making Pino a viable target.

Just 19 years old, the Spaniard has shown great potential and has proven himself in La Liga over the past year. What remains to be seen is if Real Madrid end up making a swoop to sign Pino come summer next year.
