Chelsea are reportedly keen on bringing Eden Hazard back to Stamford Bridge and are willing to offer €50 million to Real Madrid to re-sign him.

According to a report by Catalan outlet El Nacional, Chelsea appear to be preparing their offer to re-sign Eden Hazard from Real Madrid. The UEFA Champions League holders are ready to lodge a bid worth €50 million to bring their former talisman back to Stamford Bridge in next summer’s transfer window.

Eden Hazard joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in the summer of 2019, fulfilling a lifelong dream by making his way to the Santiago Bernabeu. However, the dream quickly turned into a nightmare for the Belgian international, who has struggled to be a regular presence in the attacking unit for Los Blancos owing to a spate of injuries.

Now into his third season at Real Madrid, the 30-year-old has only managed to feature in 51 games while amassing a tally of five goals and nine assists in the process. The injuries have not gone away early in the 2021/22 season, with Carlo Ancelotti having to manage his minutes carefully.

However, despite his struggles at Real Madrid, the experienced attacker remains a revered figure at Chelsea, where he spent seven illustrious years. And now, it looks like the Blues are ready to bring him back to Stamford Bridge.

The interest from Chelsea, though, is a tad-bit surprising, considering Thomas Tuchel already has a number of top class attackers at his disposal. However, upon a closer look, it might become clear as to why the Premier League heavyweights would want to bolster their attacking unit.

That is because Timo Werner is being linked with a potential departure from Stamford Bridge amid interest from Newcastle United. So, with that in mind, Hazard could be an option worth considering, with Chelsea even prepared to offer €50 million to secure the services of their former talisman.

At, Real Madrid, Florentino Perez is aware that he will not be able to recoup even half the sum he paid to sign Hazard from Chelsea. However, he is still keen on raking in a little more than the €50 million that the Blues are set to offer. With that in mind, it remains to be seen if the two parties can reach an agreement over a fee that is acceptable to both or if Chelsea turn their attention elsewhere.
