Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a €60 million offer to snap up Juventus target Dusan Vlahovic in the upcoming January transfer window.

According to Calciomercatoweb.it, Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race to sign Dusan Vlahovic and are hoping to hijack Juventus’ move for the Fiorentina forward. The Premier League giants, led by the technical director and ex-Juve shot-caller Fabio Paratici, are well aware of the fact that the Old Lady cannot make a big investment in January.

As such, Spurs are weighing up a €60 million bid for Vlahovic, which is likely to be accepted by Fiorentina. It could serve as a massive blow for Juventus as well as some other interested parties like Newcastle United.

Formerly of Partizan, Vlahovic is currently one of the hottest attacking prospects in Italy, after breaking onto the scenes last season with 21 league goals. The striker has continued his form in the new campaign by netting four times in seven games.

In addition to his productivity, the Serb has made a solid impression with his imposing 1.90m frame that has given him an edge in physical and aerial duels. Unsurprisingly, it has caught the attention of English clubs, in particular, owing to the physically astute nature of the Premier League.

As far as Tottenham are concerned, the potential signing of Vlahovic can be considered as the direct response to Harry Kane’s uncertain future at the club. The Englishman has endured a difficult start to the season but remains a top target for Manchester City nevertheless.

His potential departure from North London next summer could open up the opportunity for Dusan Vlahovic to become the leading striker for Tottenham Hotspur.

The Serbian international has suggested that he is ready to take the next big leap in his career and a move to North London could certainly make sense. His imposing frame coupled with his goalscoring prowess means he could be a favourite to fill in the target man role in Nuno Espirito Santo’s tactical philosophy.

Given the success the Portuguese mastermind has had with traditional target men, Vlahovic has a good chance of succeeding at Tottenham. However, it remains to be seen whether the player himself favours a switch to London, knowing that there is no shortage of suitors.

Even Barcelona have been keen on the Fiorentina forward recently, so it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the exciting young talent in the coming months.

Levy knows he won’t get his man, that is the only reason they’re talking big on Vlahovic, who’s going to want to come to Spurs with Lewis and Levy running the show?
