Alexandre Lacazette is reportedly attracting interest from a host of Premier League sides ahead of a possible move in January or a free transfer next summer.

According to French outlet Jeunes Footeux, Alexandre Lacazette could have interest from Everton and West Ham United from the Premier League as the striker runs down his Arsenal contract. The Gunners are exploring options to sell him in January to get some transfer fee, as the Frenchman could move on a free in the summer.

Alexandre Lacazette has been one of Arsenal’s most consistent performers since moving to the club in the summer of 2017. The striker’s battling style always catches the eye, and in reality, he has hardly had a bad game for the Gunners. However, he has failed to replicate his prolific numbers from his Lyon days onto the pitch at the Emirates.

This week, though, Lacazette stood out as Arsenal battled back to a draw at home against Crystal Palace, scoring a last-second equaliser. There have been calls to reinstate him in place of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was on the periphery for the rest of the game despite scoring the opening goal.

However, as things stand, Lacazette’s contract with Arsenal ends at the end of the season, with no renewal in sight. The club reportedly wanted to replace the Frenchman in the summer window itself, but there were no real suitors for the striker owing to his salary demands. Things could change in the next window, depending on the interest.

Everton and West Ham United are looking at striker options and are reportedly keen on recruiting Lacazette. Both sides need a lead after some unreliable experiences with their current options due to niggling injuries. They feel the Frenchman is a strong Premier League centre-forward who could improve their sides.

Arsenal are linked with Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin to replace Lacazette when he departs, although a move for the England international would be an expensive affair. The striker has struggled with injuries this season alongside regular partner Richarlison.

The Hammers were searching for a No.9 in the summer as a cover or competition for Michail Antonio, who has lately struggled with fitness issues. Lacazette is a similar type of striker who gets into battles with defenders and is considered a great finisher. West Ham also remain linked with names, including Genk’s Paul Onuachu, among others

Last season, the Frenchman ended up as Arsenal’s top scorer. Despite that, he has found it hard to start games this season, with Aubameyang preferred to lead the line. With his contract running down, Arsenal may like to offload him in January rather than in the summer, when he could depart on a free transfer.
