La Liga trio Celta Vigo, Getafe and Real Sociedad are all reportedly ready to offer Riqui Puig an escape route from his miseries at Barcelona.

According to a report by Transfer Market Web, Riqui Puig appears to have a non-existent future at Barcelona, especially following the advent of Gavi and Nico Gonzalez. And a trio of La Liga clubs are ready to swoop him away from Camp Nou, with Celta Vigo, Getafe and Real Sociedad all interested.

Riqui Puig joined Barcelona’s fabled academy La Masia in 2013 from UFB Jabac Terrassa. And after making swift progress through the ranks in the club’s youth setup, the promising youngster made his first-team debut in December 2018, making fine progress under the tutelage of Ernesto Valverde and Quique Setien, in particular.

However, his stock has fallen considerably since the appointment of Ronald Koeman, who has not favoured the inclusion of Puig in his starting lineups. Now an out-of-favour midfielder, Puig has made just four appearances while accumulating only 72 minutes of action in the process so far this season.

Indeed, the advent of Gavi and Nico Gonzalez has adversely affected his prospects further, just as Pedri’s rise last season had. And even though Gavi has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United, he appears to be headed nowhere. Now an outcast at Barcelona, Puig will be well served with a move away from Camp Nou. And a trio of La Liga clubs are ready to offer him just that.

According to Transfer Market Web, Celta Vigo, Getafe and Real Sociedad are all ready to offer Puig an escape route out of Barcelona. And each of the three La Liga clubs are ideal destinations for the 22-year-old.

Celta Vigo and Getafe both have recent history of swooping promising midfielders away from Barcelona and turning them into bonafide stars for them. While at Celta Vigo, Denis Suarez has gone on to establish himself as one of the best midfielders on show in La Liga, Carles Alena recently ended his frustrations at Barcelona by joining Getafe, where he is now a key figure.

As for Real Sociedad, with David Silva approaching the final phase of his career and Asier Illarramendi continuing to struggle with fitness issues, Puig could be just the kind of player to be signed.

What now remains to be seen is if any of the three La Liga clubs are able to swoop Puig away from Barcelona. What does appear to be certain, though, is that the 22-year-old must call it quits at Camp Nou in order to resurrect a stuttering career.
