Arsenal have reportedly received several enquiries about their star man Bukayo Saka, but the Gunners insist the youngster is ‘untouchable’.

According to a report in The Sun, Arsenal are starting to receive transfer approaches from several clubs showing interest in their star forward Bukayo Saka. But the Gunners do not intend to sell the player anytime soon and have made their stance categorically clear that they will not entertain any proposals for their teenage sensation.

Speaking to the Here We Go Podcast, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provides a major update on Arsenal strategy about their forward Bukayo Saka.

“I am happy for Arsenal, they’re back winning because the start of their season was terrible,” Fabrizio said. “I want to talk about Bukayo Saka, because some clubs are starting to approach Bukayo Saka, to watch Saka as one of the best players in his position for the future. Some clubs, they are not making bids or anything, but they are asking about the contract and everything.”

“Arsenal consider this player untouchable. He is a player for the present and the future, and Arsenal are planning on building on Saka for the future,” added the Italian Journalist.

After progressing through the ranks at Arsenal youth setup, Saka made his senior debut for the Gunners in 2018 as a 17-year-old and has developed leaps and bounds since then. He has gradually grown into a vital clog in the first team. The 20-year-old has been one of the shining lights at the Emirates in an otherwise disappointing season under Mikel Arteta.

Saka has already made 93 appearances for the North London giants, producing a return of 12 goals while supplying 21 assists in the process. His impressive domestic performances helped him break into a tightly congested England squad, and he was eventually called up for the Euro 2020 campaign. Saka was one of the top performers and was a key component of Gareth Southgate’s side as the Three Lions finished as runners-up at the tournament.

The Englishman is a key player for both club and country. Despite his relatively young age and lack of experience, he has steered his team through trying situations with his creativity and dynamism. His endeavour and energetic displays on the pitch have not gone unnoticed and made him a huge fan favourite among the Arsenal faithfuls’. He was also voted as Gunners Player of the Year for the 2020-21 season.

Saka is a very talented player, and his maturity levels are well above his years. Arsenal view him as an important part of their long-term plans, and they want to build the squad around him and Emile Smith Rowe. The England international’s contract will expire in June 2024, but Arsenal should already start contemplating extending it in the near future to ward off any suitors.
