Barcelona have reportedly been offered the chance to secure the services of French forward Alexandre Lacazette, valued at €15 million by Arsenal.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Barcelona are among the clubs to have been offered the chance to sign Alexandre Lacazette before the summer transfer window slams shut. The French forward is valued at around €15 million by Arsenal.

Alexandre Lacazette joined Arsenal from Lyon in the summer of 2017 and has since endured a roller-coaster of a ride at the Emirates. Initially a prolific customer in front of goal for the Gunners, the Frenchman’s levels have dropped a fair bit in the last couple of seasons, although he still remains a key player for them.

To date, the 30-year-old has racked up a tally of 66 goals and 28 assists in 172 appearances for the north Londoners. However, having entered the final year of his contract, Arsenal are in a position wherein this summer is the final chance for them to recoup a decent sum from his sale. To that end, the option of joining Barcelona has cropped up.

Barcelona have already been linked with Lacazette numerous times over the years. And now, the Blaugrana have been offered the chance to sign the French forward, in what will likely be a deal worth around €15 million, which could align with their financial situation, provided they can offload some of their fringe players.

Barcelona have indeed been reported to be on the lookout for attacking players ever since it was announced that Lionel Messi was leaving the club for good. However, their financial woes have prevented them from making a move for a forward.

Lacazette, though, fits the bill for Barcelona, if they are in a position to make a move for him. As iterated previously, Arsenal want to recoup around €15 million for the 30-year-old forward, although the likes of Juventus and Lyon have also been offered the chance to sign him.

Atletico Madrid have also been previously linked with Lacazette, but it is unlikely that they will now launch the offensive for the Frenchman after signing Matheus Cunha. What now remains to be seen is if Arsenal can manage to get Lacazette off their books and if he ends up joining Barcelona.
