A trio of Premier League clubs are vying for Daniel James’ signature, as his future remains uncertain at Manchester United following multiple new arrivals.

According to The Sun, at least three Premier League clubs are chasing Daniel James, intending to sign the winger on loan before the transfer deadline. Leeds United, Crystal Palace and Everton are mentioned as possible suitors for the Welsh winger whose future at Manchester United remains uncertain.

Daniel James has lingered on at Manchester United despite some level of uncertainty since last summer. After playing a decent role last season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seemed satisfied with what the winger offers at the club. However, the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo lately could complicate matters for the former Swansea star.

It’s understood that Manchester United could be open to letting him leave the club, either on loan or permanently, if a suitable offer arrives. After signing Ronaldo recently and Jadon Sancho earlier in this window, Solskjaer has an overload of attackers to deal with, and James is the most susceptible of the lot.

The club are also looking at loan options for youngster Amad Diallo, as Solskjaer would prefer to have Mason Greenwood, Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial as his first choice attacking players from wide. With the transfer window about to end in a few days, James will have to decide his future quickly.

There are at least three Premier League clubs reportedly interested in signing James on loan. The likes of Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Everton are mentioned. Brighton were also linked earlier in the window due to the presence of Graham Potter, who managed James during his time as Swansea manager.

Crystal Palace are looking for late additions in the attack. They are particularly looking for a striker, with links to Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah and others. They might also look at a winger as a replacement to Andros Townsend, who left on a free transfer to join Everton earlier.

Everton are still in the window looking at attackers, with uncertainties over the futures of James Rodriguez and possibly Richarlison. They were recently linked with Porto’s Luis Diaz, and James could be an alternative if a move for the Colombian falls short.

The other club is Leeds, who have been linked heavily in the past with James. Marcelo Bielsa reportedly still likes the player and could make room in his squad for such an addition. James seemingly came close to joining the Yorkshire based club back in January 2019, only for the deal to collapse on deadline day.

As things stand, James seems to have plenty of options if he decides to leave Manchester United before the transfer deadline. He could perform well on loan and possibly hope for a future back at Old Trafford next year, as there could be no room for him this season with the overload in quality attackers at the club.
