The Spanish giants are set to have their latest bid – a €170 million base fee plus €10 million in bonuses – accepted by Paris Saint-Germain, with the official announcement in the pipeline as well.

By now, it is an open secret that Real Madrid are hot on the trails of Kylian Mbappe. In fact, Paris Saint-Germain chief Leonardo has already commented on Los Blancos’ initial offer for the 22-year-old, claiming that the Spanish giants have been indulging in illegal practices in their bid to sign him.

Real Madrid have, in fact, already had the aforementioned opening bid, worth €160 million, being rejected by PSG. However, the Merengues appear to be determined to secure the services of a player who has been viewed as a priority target for quite some time now in the Spanish capital.

Now, Real Madrid have produced a fresh bid for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, offering a base fee of €170 million in addition to €10 million in bonuses. And it looks like the latest offer has done the trick, with the report claiming that Real Madrid are closing in on reaching an agreement with PSG, with his transfer now “imminent”.

In fact, it has also been mentioned that the official announcement could be made as soon as Friday, with Mbappe set to arrive in Madrid soon. And so, it looks like Mbappe might have played his final game for PSG, with a €170 million move to Real Madrid, who have succeeded with their final offer, on the horizon.
