Liverpool have completed the signing of exciting young prospect Bobby Clark from Newcastle United for an undisclosed fee.

Liverpool Football Club have confirmed the signing of Bobby Clark from Newcastle United on their official website. The 16-year-old had been expected to move Merseyside for a few weeks now, reaching an agreement for an undisclosed fee. The youngster will join now be joining the Reds’ Under-18 squad soon.

Bobby Clark has been tipped for a bright future with scouts from the biggest Premier League sides keeping a constant watch over him. The midfield prospect, son of former Newcastle United player Lee Clark, was expected to make the ranks up at Tyneside, but the chance of joining a big side was too good to turn down.

Clark’s rise within the Newcastle United academy has been unprecedented. The youngster was playing for the U-18s at the age of 14 while recently cementing his place in the England U-16 side. The Magpies were expected to offer him a pro-contract when he would have turned 17.

However, Liverpool scuppered those plans by making a significant offer. The Merseysiders were not the only side vying for his signature. Many big Premier League sides showed an interest in Clark, although it is the Reds that have ultimately prevailed.

The Reds have had a good track record recently when it comes to promoting young players into the first team. From Trent-Alexander Arnold, Curtis Jones, Nat Phillips, to Harvey Elliot, Rhys Williams, Neco Williams Liverpool have seen a number of youngsters make the grade to the first-team in recent seasons

That and Liverpool’s recent good performances on all fronts make the club an attractive prospect for any youngster. By signing Clark, Liverpool have beaten significant competition from Manchester City and Chelsea.

Clark will join up with Liverpool’s Under-18 squad to aid his development and will be one of the players to watch in the next few years. In the player, the Reds have secured one of the best prospects in English football, although it’s a shame for Newcastle to lose one of their top talents to a big club.

    Cant believe that Edwards is selling some senior players to buy minors…also want to loan a 23 year goalkeeper KELLER and replace him with a 36 year old from championship side..ooooooooooooooooooooooh this is madness…wat is EDWARDS UP TO…TO DESTROY THE TEAM or FINISH IT……other teams has beefed up their squads with quality players while EDWARDS is busy shiping-out players without replacing them
