Barcelona, Real Madrid and Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on 20-year-old Brazilian attacker Yuri Alberto over a possible summer move.

According to a report by Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, Yuri Alberto is being closely monitored by a bevy of top clubs across Europe over a potential move in the summer transfer window. Three of his prospective suitors are Barcelona, Real Madrid and Arsenal.

Yuri Alberto is a Santos academy graduate, having spent over half a decade with the Brazilian giants. However, it is after he joined Internacional last summer that he has really managed burst into the limelight, having become a key figure for the Reds.

To date, the 20-year-old has made 65 appearances for Internacional while amassing a tally of 21 goals and a couple of assists in the process. His progress in the past year or so has certainly not gone unnoticed, with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Arsenal among the clubs that are showing a lot of interest in him.

The interest from Barcelona makes a lot of sense despite the fact that they have already bolstered their attack this summer by signing Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay. That is because Aguero is already in the twilight of his career and is proving to be injury prone lately, meaning it is prudent for Barcelona to sign a long-term solution for their attack, with Alberto worth considering.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, seem to be laying down a succession plan for Karim Benzema, who may be going strong despite being well into his thirties but will need to be replaced sooner or later. To that end, Erling Haaland is the priority for Los Blancos, although they cannot really afford him at the moment. As a result, alternatives are being identified, one of whom is Benjamin Sesko, with Alberto a viable target as well.

As for Arsenal, they are looking set to offload Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah this summer, with the former a key target for Atletico Madrid while the latter has been linked with Brighton & Hove Albion of late. So, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is likely to be the first-choice striker, having an alternative in the form of Alberto makes sense.

Apart from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Arsenal, Manchester City are another one of the European bigwigs to show an interest in the 20-year-old Brazilian attacker. For now, though, the quartet is simply keeping tabs on Alberto, and it will be interesting to see if they launch the offensive for him anytime soon.
