Real Madrid have reportedly completed the signing of Spanish defensive prodigy Mario Rivas, who is set to join the club’s Cadete B side.

According to Spanish journalist Javi R Verde, Real Madrid have secured the services of Mario Rivas, who was the captain of Getafe’s Infantil A side. The Spanish defensive prodigy will join Real Madrid’s Cadete B side, who have their fourth reinforcement this summer after Dani Martin, Jose Arevalo and Ferran Seco.

Mario Rivas is a versatile young defender who primarily plays as a centre-back. Born in 2007, the Spanish defensive prodigy has been one of the brightest young prospects at Getafe up until now, having also been the captain of the Madrilean club’s Infantil A side. His progress in recent times seems to have caught the attention of one of the biggest clubs in the game – Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have been renowned to constantly be on the lookout for the brightest young talents in Spain and beyond, with such an outlook trickling from the youth setup right till the first-team squad. To that end, Los Blancos have signed several promising players in recent years, including Rodrygo Goes, Reinier Jesus and Vinicius Jr. among several others.

In the youth setup, Real Madrid have most recently been on the verge of signing Bryan Bugarin from Celta Vigo, beating bitter rivals Barcelona to his capture. And as per Javi R Verde, the Spanish giants have managed to secure the services of Mario Rivas now, who has penned his commitment to the club and will now join the Cadete B side.

Rivas, a versatile young Spanish defensive prodigy, is the fourth reinforcement for the Real Madrid Cadete B side this summer following the arrival of Jose Arevalo, Dani Martin and Ferran Seco. In fact, Real Madrid have been hard at work to poach some of the brightest prospects across different age groups, having also signed Ruben Montero recently.

The Merengues are also battling Barcelona for the services of Enrique Herrero, a 16-year-old Spanish whizkid. For now, though, Real Madrid have landed another bright young talent in Mario Rivas, who joins the Cadete B side as their fourth signing of the summer.
