Real Madrid have reportedly turned their attention towards Youssef En-Nesyri, who is valued by La Liga giants Sevilla at around €50 million.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Youssef En-Nesyri is the latest striker to have occupied the fancy of Carlo Ancelotti. To that end, Real Madrid are readying a bid for the 24-year-old striker heading into the summer transfer window, with Sevilla slapping a €50 million price tag on him.

En-Nesyri has been nothing short of explosive since joining Sevilla from Leganes in January 2020. Over the last 18 months, the Moroccan international has gone from strength to strength, but he was particularly impressive in the 2020/21 season, as he scored 24 goals in 52 appearances despite only starting just over half of the games played by Los Nervionenses.

However, the 24-year-old striker’s improved performance levels have certainly been taken note of, with several big name clubs across Europe showing a lot of interest in him. The latest marquee club to have emerged in pursuit of En-Nesyri now are Real Madrid.

The Merengues are in the market for a striker heading into the summer transfer window, and for good reason. Luka Jovic was signed to be the potential long-term successor for Karim Benzema two years ago. However, while Benzema has only continued to improve by the week, Jovic has proven to be a dud for Real Madrid, with the Serb hardly making any impact so far.

In addition, Mariano Diaz is only viewed as a bit-part player and could well be on the move amid shock links with Atletico Madrid. So, it has become more of an urgent need for Real Madrid to sign a striker this summer to bolster their attack, with Benzema not getting any younger. To that end, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe have been viewed as the priority targets for Real Madrid.

However, it might not be possible for Real Madrid to sign either player, who are both valued in upwards of €100 million by their respective clubs. As a result, Los Blancos have had to scour the market for potential alternatives, with Alexander Isak emerging as one such option, although triggering his €70 million release clause could prove to be problematic as well.

En-Nesyri, as a result, emerges as another alternative for Real Madrid to consider, with the 24-year-old striker valued at around €50 million by Sevilla. Meanwhile, Premier League duo West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers have already registered an interest in the Moroccan international, although he has iterated his desire to stay at Sevilla.

Having said that, an offer from Real Madrid could well turn his head, iterates the report, with a €50 million bid likely to be enough to tempt Sevilla to cash in on him as well. For now, Real Madrid are readying a bid for En-Nesyri and it remains to be seen if he ends up replacing Jovic and Mariano at the La Liga club this summer.
