The race for the Sassuolo winger heats up as Premier League sides Liverpool and Tottenham join a host of other admirers for Domenico Berardi.

According to Gazzetta, the demand for Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi is set to heat up following reported interest from Premier League sides. Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in bringing the Italian winger to England, with Juventus also interested in his services.

Berardi has been the subject of keen interest from the top clubs, especially in Italy. Juventus wants Berardi to improve their options going into next season and as competition to Dejan Kulusevski. Additionally, they might also be looking at Berardi to replace Paulo Dybala, a subject of interest from Spain and England.

On the other hand, Berardi has somewhat hinted at moving to the Premier League, and if it’s true, he has no shortage of options. Liverpool and Tottenham are interested, while there could be other clubs as well. Reportedly, Arsenal and Manchester United are also keeping tabs on the Italian.

However, with Manchester United look closer than ever to signing Jadon Sancho and Arsenal satisfied with their current options, it leaves Tottenham and Liverpool battling it out. Liverpool were also interested in Sancho, but the player himself is thought to prefer a move to United, leaving the Reds searching for an alternative.

Jurgen Klopp is looking to adding competition and more quality to the right-wing after strengthening the left side last summer with the signing of Diogo Jota. Klopp would take Berardi and hope he gives intense competition to the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Elsewhere, Tottenham are looking at multiple players to fill gaps in their squad. Gareth Bale might not come to Spurs after returning to Real Madrid; Daniel Levy must sign players to make up the numbers and quality. However, with a new manager search ongoing, Spurs feel a signing like Berardi would be one of intention.

With choices of Liverpool and Juventus in front, Berardi will be exploring his options once the Euros are concluded. The winger has been one of the stars of Italy so far in the tournament, starting and playing key roles in both games so far.

Sassuolo are demanding around 50 million for their in-demand star. It remains to be seen if such a figure will be deemed fair by the interested parties or negotiate with the Italian side to bring the price down. Either way, Berardi’s future is likely away from Sassuolo, and a big move is in the reckoning.
