Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly eager to reunite with Brazilian midfielder Allan at Real Madrid, with his price tag being an affordable €20 million.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Carlo Ancelotti’s bid to bolster his squad in his image in the summer transfer window has taken him back to Everton. The Real Madrid boss wants the Merengues to sign Allan ahead of the 2021/22 season, with the Brazilian midfielder valued at around €20 million.

Allan has been one of the most underrated midfielders in Europe since arriving on the continent by joining Udinese in 2012. In the near-decade that has passed since the 30-year-old has gone from strength to strength and enjoyed a strong maiden campaign with Everton in 2020/21.

While he missed a major chunk of the season due to injuries, Allan still featured prominently when he was available, making 26 appearances across all competitions. Such was his impact at Goodison Park last term that Carlo Ancelotti wants to reunite with the Brazilian midfielder this summer at Real Madrid.

Los Blancos already have one of the best holding midfielders in the world in the first-team setup in Casemiro. However, if recent seasons have exposed anything in their squad, it is that Real Madrid desperately need another defensive midfielder to create a well-stocked midfield unit.

To that end, Real Madrid have been linked with Joshua Kimmich, among others, with Allan being possible a viable target as well. And prising Allan away from Everton is unlikely to cost Real Madrid a bomb either. The Brazilian midfielder is valued at around €20 million, making him affordable in the current financial climate.

Meanwhile, Allan might not be the only former player Ancelotti wishes to reunite with at Real Madrid, with Richarlison also linked with a possible summer switch to the Spanish capital, among others. As for the midfield, Allan is a viable target.

Having said that, the fact that the player is already into his thirties is a red flag for Real Madrid, who are reluctant to get a deal done for him. For now, it looks like Allan is one of many former Ancelotti charges who could be targeted by the Merengues this summer, with the Brazilian rated at around €20 million.
