Wilfried Zaha is yet again linked with a move to Arsenal, as comments from Crystal Palace chairman indicate a transfer might be on the cards.

According to The Mirror, Wilfried Zaha could move to a bigger club in this transfer window, with Arsenal linked yet again with the Ivorian. Additionally, Crystal Palace chairman’s comments indicate the South London club’s intention to allow the former Manchester United forward to leave if the price is right.

Ever since Zaha’s return to Palace after his ill-fated move to Manchester United, the Ivorian winger has seen his name being linked with other top clubs in the Premier League. Palace have stood their ground by sticking to the price tag they placed on Zaha to ward off suitors. Things are likely to change this summer, though, as the Eagles might reduce their original asking price.

That reason alone would be enough to link Zaha with a host of Premier League sides this summer, as Palace are expected to listen to offers for the former Manchester United winger. Tottenham and Everton are yet again credited with an interest in the 28-year-old, but the links with Arsenal have reignited again as well.

Zaha was strongly linked with Arsenal two seasons ago when Unai Emery was in charge. However, the high price tag and the subsequent signing of Nicolas Pepe meant Arsenal cooled their interest. That stance could change in the event of Arsenal looking to sell players from their forward line.

Earlier, the Gunners did consider moving on from Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, and if that happens, Zaha could be the right candidate to replace the Arsenal captain. Additionally, Zaha could be an option even if Aubameyang does not depart the Emirates or if Alexandre Lacazette moves elsewhere.

Crystal Palace Chairman Steve Parish’s recent comments are indicative of a transfer for Zaha. He said, “We understand his position. It’s no secret that he would like to challenge himself. “But it has to be right for the football club. He understands that as well. If those two things collide, then we will have to look at it. But right now, we are two days into the transfer window, so it’s a bit early to talk about it.”

Palace are in an indifferent position than usual. After releasing a host of first-team stars at the end of their contracts in addition to the departure of manager Roy Hodgson, the Eagles need to make up the numbers.

Zaha’s transfer could help them with much-needed funds this summer to rebuild their squad, especially considering the dire financial state of the club following an entire season without fans at Selhurst Park. A new manager is their highest priority as they are yet to announce who replaces Hodgson at the helm.

Zaha has always remained on the hunt for a bigger club. After producing his best goalscoring season last term, there is no doubting his ability and talent. He would undoubtedly suit Arsenal or any other big club, but in general, it’s a now-or-never situation for the former Manchester United outcast at Crystal Palace this summer.

No Thanks we have too many big ego overpaid players who seem to be more interested in money than anything else.
