According to an exclusive report from Italian outlet Tutto Juve, Premier League giants Liverpool are interested in making a swoop for Juventus midfielder in the upcoming transfer window and could land him for a fee of just €12 million.
Ramsey spent the majority of his professional career at Arsenal before making the switch to Juventus in the summer of 2019 on a free transfer when his contract with the Gunners ran out. However, the move has simply not worked out for the Welsh international, who has struggled to carve out a place for himself in the starting XI at the Allianz Stadium.

Ramsey has had brief positive spells under both Maurizio Sarri and current manager Andrea Pirlo, but just hasn’t done enough on a consistent basis to become a key player for the Bianconeri. And heading into the summer, with Juventus eyeing a squad overhaul, the 30-year-old is expected to be one of the players on the chopping blocks.
Liverpool have been alerted to the potential availability of Ramsey in the upcoming transfer window, and the Reds are said to be considering a swoop for the former Arsenal star. The report mentions that manager Jurgen Klopp has the Wales midfielder’s name in his ‘notebook’ with the Merseyside giants seeking reinforcements in the middle of the park.
Liverpool are preparing for life without midfield mainstay Georginio Wijnaldum, with the Dutchman in the final few weeks of his contract and has recently been linked with a move to Serie A side AS Roma. In addition, even the likes of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are also facing uncertain futures at the club. And with James Milner not getting any younger, a move for another midfielder would make sense for Klopp & co.
And Ramsey has now emerged as a viable target for Liverpool, given his proven pedigree and experience in the Premier League. Juventus were hoping to get €20 million for the 30-year-old but are so desperate to get his wages off the books that they are willing to settle for a transfer fee of only €12 million, which would appeal to the Reds, given as they are looking to strengthen in other areas of the pitch as well.
As for Ramsey, he is said to prefer a return to Arsenal. But a chance to come back to the Premier League and work under a manager like Klopp to get his career back on track should certainly be an attractive proposition for the 30-year-old. It now remains to be seen if Liverpool make a formal approach for the ex-Gunners’ star.
