According to Inside Futbol, Dusan Vlahovic has emerged as a serious target for Liverpool this summer. In fact, the Premier League giants are in advanced talks with the Fiorentina forward over a potential move to Anfield, with the player himself keen on leaving the club as he seeks to take the next step in his career.
Along with Liverpool, AC Milan have also expressed their desire to sign Vlahovic, who is currently being valued at around €40 million to €50 million. It appears the Serie A giants are ready to cash in on their prized asset, in light of the financial problems caused by the ongoing pandemic.
It is also a reason why another interested party in AS Roma had to opt-out from the race to sign the young forward, as they simply cannot afford that much in the current financial climate.
It serves as a massive boost for a Liverpool side who are in the market for a new striker this summer. They have been sensationally linked with a move to re-sign Luis Suarez from Atletico Madrid, but in Vlahovic, they could find themselves a viable long-term prospect, who is more than ready to ply his trade in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed immense success since his move to Fiorentina in 2018. Especially in the ongoing campaign, he has netted as many as 17 goals in just 32 league matches, with his contributions in front of goal making him one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dire campaign for the Viola.
Vlahovic, in fact, has netted more than one-third of Fiorentina’s goals in Serie A this campaign. And while this certainly isn’t good reading for Giuseppe Iachini’s men, Liverpool fans will certainly enjoy it, as their club has lacked the services of a proper goalscoring forward in quite some time now.
