Chelsea are ready to cash in on Tammy Abraham this summer, with the West Ham United and Leicester City target being valued at around £40 million.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are bracing themselves for a major overhaul in the attacking department this summer. One of the players who are tipped to leave the club is Tammy Abraham, with the forward unlikely to be involved in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for next season.

As a result, the Blues are willing to listen to offers for Abraham in the summer. Chelsea are expecting around £40 million for their out-of-favour star, who is courted by a few Premier League clubs including Leicester City and West Ham United.

A product of the Chelsea youth academy, Abraham has not had much luck in the first-team since the arrival of Tuchel. He has fallen down the pecking order, despite being involved in 18 goals in all competitions this term, though most of those have come against weaker opposition, either in FA Cup or the League Cup.

Abraham could, thus, follow Olivier Giroud in moving away from Stamford Bridge in the summer. But, unlike the Frenchman, the 23-year-old will certainly help Chelsea fetch a considerable amount of fees, given his performances and records in English football as well as the potential he offers.

The Englishman’s future, though, may still hugely depend on how Chelsea fare in the market. The Blues have identified Erling Haaland as their top target, but signing the Borussia Dortmund striker could be difficult, especially with Borussia Dortmund looking likely to succeed in their quest to finish in the top four.

In addition to Haaland, another player Tuchel is keeping a close eye on is Romelu Lukaku. However, even the Inter Milan forward could be a difficult man to get. It does not bode well for the west London giants, especially with Timo Werner failing to prove his quality in the Premier League – often appearing wasteful in front of goal.

From Abraham’s perspective, a prolonged stay at Stamford Bridge does not make much sense as he clearly is not rated much by Tuchel. A move to Leicester City or West Ham, in that regard, could be a logical decision, with the Chelsea forward likely to be given the opportunity to replace Jamie Vardy at Leicester.

West Ham, too, have enjoyed a lot of success under David Moyes and should open up an ideal opportunity for the Chelsea striker to remain in London. All in all, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Tammy Abraham this summer.
