Manchester United and Liverpool are among the clubs keeping a close eye on Andrea Belotti, who is expected to leave Torino in the summer.

According to Tuttosport, Andrea Belotti is facing an uncertain future at Torino, as the club prepares for a potential squad overhaul in the summer transfer window. It has put a number of clubs on red alert, including Premier League duo Liverpool and Manchester United while Tottenham Hotspur are also in the mix.

Part of the Torino side since 2015, Belotti’s current contract in Turin expires in 2022. As a result, Il Granata are ready to cash in on him this summer, with the striker likely to join a long list of players likely to be sold off after the end of the season – a list that includes reported Manchester United target Nicolas Nkoulou.

Belotti is certainly the biggest name, having enjoyed immense success during his six-year spell at Torino. He has already made over 200 competitive appearances for the club, netting 104 times while bagging 26 assists. The Italian has also been acting as the club captain since the backend of the 2016/17 campaign – making him arguably the most important figure at Torino.

The Premier League interest surrounding Belotti is hardly surprising either, robust style of play, coupled with his work ethic make him a tailor-made fit the English football.

At Manchester United, in particular, the Italian could emerge as an ideal long-term successor for Edinson Cavani, whose contract at Old Trafford is set to expire at the end of the season. The Red Devils might also be looking for an alternative for Anthony Martial, who has been linked with a move away from club.

Liverpool, too, could use the services of someone like Belotti, whose robust nature could add the much-needed variety to the club’s attacking unit that is heavily reliant on technique, pace and skill.

Another option for the 27-year-old could be a switch to Tottenham Hotspur, who are keeping an eye on several top-class attackers in light of the recent cloud of uncertainty regarding Harry Kane’s long-term future at the club as well as the sacking of Jose Mourinho that might usher in an air of change in north London.

Belotti’s expiring contract means the Italian international could be a financially viable target, not just for Tottenham but also Liverpool and Manchester United, in this financial climate that has had a drastic impact on the market values.
