Marcus Rashford is fit to feature while Eric Bailly and Bruno Fernandes should return to the lineup when Manchester United face Sheffield United.

Manchester United will be aiming to reclaim top spot in the Premier League table when they lock horns with bottom-feeders Sheffield United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

Ahead of the game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was handed a major injury boost as Marcus Rashford is fit and available for selection after he came off with an injury in the FA Cup win against Liverpool at the weekend. “Marcus is available, yeah. He trained this morning. I think he tweaked his knee a little bit but should be fine,” the Manchester United manager said in his pre-match presser.

Solskjaer is expected to make a few changes to the side that defeated Liverpool in the cup tie, starting from goal where David de Gea ought to come in for Dean Henderson. Manchester United captain Harry Maguire is a certain starter at the heart of the defence but could be partnered by Eric Bailly, who was rested for the cup game, with Victor Lindelof dropping out.

Manchester United vs Sheffield United Preview: Probable Lineups, Prediction, Tactics, Team News, Betting Odds & Key Stats

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the undisputed starter at right-back given the lack of competition for places in his position. At left-back though, we could see a change made as Alex Telles is in line to replace Luke Shaw after the Englishman’s serious exertions over the past week.

Paul Pogba is enjoying his best patch of form in a long time for Manchester United and should continue in the middle of the park against Sheffield United. The Frenchman will have Fred as his partner in the double pivot, with the Brazilian set to replace Scott McTominay from the starting lineup.

Bruno Fernandes came on as a substitute and won the match for Manchester United against Liverpool at the weekend. The Red Devils’ creative talisman ought to be reinstated to the lineup, slotting in as the No. 10. With Rashford fit to start, the England international should hold on to his place on the left flank.

Mason Greenwood, too, should be retained after his exciting performance in the FA Cup win over Liverpool. At the top though, there could be a change as Edinson Cavani could be given a breather after starting the last two matches. In his stead, Anthony Martial is expected to lead the line for the Red Devils against Sheffield United.

Manchester United Predicted XI: de Gea; Wan-Bissaka. Bailly, Maguire, Telles; Pogba, Fred; Greenwood, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial
