Manchester City forward Raheem sterling desires to move away from Manchester City as he intends to grab the opportunity to join Real Madrid.

According to a report by Diario Gol, Raheem Sterling could be on his way out of Manchester City. The English forward seemingly prefers a transfer the defending La Liga champions Real Madrid as he eyes a change of scenery.

Since joining Manchester City from Liverpool in the summer of 2015, the 26-year-old has been one of the top performers of the Premier League. Under the guidance of Pep Guardiola, the Englishman has managed to establish himself as a trusted figure, whose impeccable craftiness offers a fresh dimension in attack.

After five-and-a-half seasons with the Cityzens, Sterling’s numbers have been quite impressive, with 108 goals and 83 assists in 268 appearances across all competitions. Though the Englishman’s relentless efforts still have been an alluring sight for City, his recent intentions to bring an end to his time at the Etihad could become a concerning sign for the club.

Pep Guardiola’s artistically nourished approach towards each game has constantly been a sight to behold, and because of his incontrovertible commitment, he has established himself as one of the best managers ever in the game.

The ones who have been admiring Pep in all these years are aware of the fact that he does hold a great deal of expectation from his players, which have often turned into a repellent situation. His demands from his players have taken a toll on many occasions, and because of this exact reason, Sterling is now looking to depart from the club.

The 26-year-old is keen to continue his career somewhere else since Pep Guardiola extended his contact for The Citizens. Despite still being a pivotal player for Pep’s Manchester City, an invitation from Los Blancos would make the Englishman consider his future.

Real Madrid regarded him as one of their main targets in the last summer but no move materialised because of the COVID-19 crisis, with the Merengues deciding against pursuing a player whose market value was above €100 million.

Real Madrid’s appetite for lethal prodigies has always been an indisputable attribute throughout the years, and reinforcement in the final third region will be necessary as Belgian international Eden Hazard still hasn’t been able to gain any sort of momentum. And the 26-year-old Sterling perfectly fits in that category.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are well aware of this troublesome circumstance, as they already are setting their eyes on preparing to offer a contract extension to their star man, whose current deal runs till 2023. The club is aware of the magnitude of the player and has no intention to relinquish the Englishman.
