Real Madrid are reportedly ready to part ways with Alvaro Odriozola, who is attracting interest from a number of top European clubs.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Todo Fichajes, Real Madrid have put Alvaro Odriozola on their transfer list this month. The Spanish international does not feature in Zinedine Zidane’s plans and is likely to be courted by the likes of Borussia Dortmund, PSG and Tottenham Hotspur, with Los Blancos slapping a €20 million price tag on him.

Alvaro Odriozola joined Real Madrid from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2018, arriving at the club with a burgeoning reputation of being one of the most promising young full-backs in Spain. However, over the past 30 months or so, he has struggled to establish a foothold withing the Merengues’ first-team setup.

Till date, Odriozola has managed to amass just 28 appearances for Real Madrid, with a solid return of 1 goal and 10 assists in those outings. Last year, he was sent out on loan to Bayern Munich, where he barely featured but was still a part of the treble-winning squad.

His struggles, though, have shown no signs of ending since returning from the loan spell at Bayern Munich, with the 25-year-old managing just the solitary appearance this term. In fact, Odriozola is so far down in the pecking order for right-backs at Real Madrid that a makeshift option in Lucas Vazquez has been preferred over him when Dani Carvajal is unavailable.

With his stock at an all time low, the Spanish international is understandably on the brink at Real Madrid, who are now ready to cut their losses on him. While he has been linked with a winter move to Manchester United recently, the report makes no mention of the Red Devils.

Instead, it is suggested that the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are all in pursuit of the 25-year-old. However, the quartet are unwilling to pay the €20 million price tag that has been placed on him by Real Madrid.

What now remains to be seen is if any suitor emerges in his pursuit, ready to meet his €20 million valuation. For now, what appears to be certain is that Odriozola does not feature in Zinedine Zidane’s plans and could soon be on his way out of Real Madrid.
