Kingsley Coman has addressed his future at Bayern Munich amid reports linking him with a move to either of the two Manchester clubs.

As reported by Mirror, Kingsley Coman has opened up about his situation at Bayern Munich following an impressive start to the campaign. During an interview with SportBild, the winger has claimed that the summer speculations linking him with a move to other top clubs across Europe, including Manchester United and Manchester City have boosted his confidence.

“Knowing that good teams are interested in me is good, it gives me additional confidence,”, Coman told Bild this week. “But I have a contract here until 2023, I’m just thinking of Bayern. It’s all good, I’m happy.”, the winger added, thus serving a massive blow to clubs who were hopeful of his services in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Manchester United, in particular, have been linked with Coman as a potential alternative for top target Jadon Sancho. And while the Red Devils struggled to convince Borussia Dortmund to offload the latter, the contrasting season these two individuals have had so far has left the Bayern Munich star almost an untouchable commodity in the transfer market.

Indeed, in a Bayern squad that is home to some of the most talented attackers in Europe including Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane, Coman has been the most impressive performer, having been involved in 14 goals in just 15 matches in all competitions this season.

As a result, the Frenchman has been courted by Manchester City as well, with the Premier League giants once again keen on adding more quality to their ranks. They might even have the upper hand over their cross-town rivals as Pep Guardiola shares a good relationship with Coman. In fact, it was a Catalan who initially brought the young attacker at Bayern back in 2015.

Unfortunately for these two clubs, they have to settle for other alternatives, especially following an impressive start to the season that sees Coman emerge as one of the top performers in the Bundesliga. In addition, Sane’s slow start to his Bayern career further solidifies a prolonged stay at Bavaria for the French international, who is sure to play a key role in the upcoming European Championship this summer.
