Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be ringing in the changes in midfield as Manchester United travel to face an in-form West Ham side on Saturday.

Manchester United will be in for a tough London trip on Saturday as they face a West Ham United side that have found their way to fifth on the Premier League table, thanks to an incredible run of results. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will also be looking at his squad depth to rotate, with the packed schedule in mind.

David de Gea was limping for a bit during the PSG game, but should be okay. However, Dean Henderson should be given a chance to impress on Saturday. Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka should all reprise their roles in the defence.

Luke Shaw continues to improve on his fitness and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed in his pre-match conference that the English international is closing in on his return. However, the West Ham game will come too soon for him, which means Alex Telles will once again start on the left.

In midfield, Fred is available and is an option worth considering, with the Brazilian set to miss the Champions League fixture against RB Leipzig. However, Solskjaer will ring in the changes in midfield, with Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek likely to come into the starting eleven at the expense of others.

Scott McTominay, though, gave a spirited performance and should be retained by Solskjaer in order to put some pressure in the midfield and allow van de Beek and Pogba to express themselves better.

Marcus Rashford came off early against PSG after aggravating his long-term shoulder issue and is sweating to be fit in time to start against West Ham. Solskjaer highlighted Rashford’s potential fitness issue in the pre-match conference while hoping the English international is fit to be in contention.

“Marcus has been training this morning, not fully, but he’s joined in with the group. His shoulder stopped him finishing the game [against PSG]. He’s getting treatment and hopefully he’ll be part of the squad that travels. He’s having treatment now after training.”

Bruno Fernandes will be the number 10 for Manchester United as always, with Edinson Cavani likely to start upfront. Should Rashford not be fit enough to start, Anthony Martial could partner Cavani in attack. The Frenchman needs to prove his ability to be clinical soon, lest he may fall down the pecking order.

Manchester United Predicted XI: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles; van de Beek, McTominay, Pogba; Bruno Fernandes; Cavani, Martial
