Real Madrid are reportedly looking for suitors for Brahim Diaz, with at least 20 clubs eyeing a move for the playmaker, including AC Milan.

According to Marca, Brahim Diaz is inching closer to a move away from Santiago Bernabeu. It is believed that Real Madrid are willing to offload their playmaker on a loan deal, in an attempt to help him find more game-time at the highest level of football. They do, however, hold faith in the youngster and do not want to sell him permanently.

Diaz, meanwhile, has attracted the attention of at least 20 clubs across Europe, although not every club has shown concrete interest. Nevertheless, it seems AC Milan are being tagged as the favourites as they already have a good relationship with Real Madrid following the transfer of Theo Hernandez.

He is not the only player Real Madrid have been keen on shipping out temporarily, with Los Blancos notably sanctioning the two-year loan transfer of Reinier Jesus to Borussia Dortmund earlier this month. And much like the Brazilian, the Spanish giants are also hoping to agree a two-year loan deal with AC Milan regarding Diaz.

A move to San Siro would make sense given how much the Rossoneri have improved under Stefano Pioli. They have done surprisingly well following the departure of Suso and are thriving with the likes Hakan Calhanoglu and Alexis Saelemaekers leading the creative unit.

However, Pioli could welcome the arrival of an additional playmaker as there are doubts brewing over the reliability of Alen Halilovic at the highest level of football. Diaz, in that regard, could add some much-needed squad depth that could be necessary as Milan looks to compete with Serie A’s top dogs like Juventus and Inter Milan next season.

For Real Madrid, meanwhile, the temporary departure of Diaz makes sense. The Spaniard, following his move from Manchester City, has not quite been able to make an impact at the Santiago Bernabeu, mainly due to a lack of game-time.

But, the youngster has undeniable quality and a move elsewhere should give him the ideal platform to showcase his qualities at the highest level of football.

In the meantime, Los Merengues must find a way to get rid of the fringe players in the squad including James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale. Even last season’s star performer Sergio Reguilon has been linked with a move to Chelsea, although that deal will not go through anymore as the Blues have recently officiated the arrival of Ben Chilwell.
