Manchester United and Tottenham could reportedly be handed a chance to sign Paulo Dybala, with Juventus looking to cash in on the Argentine.

According to a report by Daily Mirror, Paulo Dybala could be available for transfer in the summer transfer window. To that end, Manchester United and Tottenham are among the clubs who could have the opportunity to secure the services of the Argentine, with Juventus open to the prospect of parting ways with him.

Dybala joined Juventus in the summer of 2015 from Palermo, back when he was regarded as one of the most promising young forwards in the game. Over the last half-a-decade, the 26-year-old has gone on to deliver on the promise to be rated among the finest in Serie A and across Europe.

Ahead of the current season, Dybala seemed to have been put in an uncertain future in Turin, with reports last summer suggesting that he was surplus to requirements for Maurizio Sarri. The player was subsequently linked with Manchester United and Tottenham, before a move failed to materialise.

There were suggestions that his wage demands contributed to the prospects of a move to either Manchester United or Tottenham being ended, but his agent later squashed such claims. Dybala then went on to enjoy a fabulous 2019/20 campaign, playing a key role in Juventus’s Serie A title triumph, with 17 goals and 14 assists in 46 appearances across all competitions.

Heading into the summer transfer window, uncertainty prevails at Juventus once again following the sacking of Maurizio Sarri. And, Dybala now has his future at the Allianz Stadium up in the air once again, with the Bianconeri open the prospect of cashing in on him. Manchester United and Tottenham have, as a result, come back in contention for him.

For Manchester United, the priority this summer is to sign a right winger, with Jadon Sancho being their top target. However, over the past few days, there have been little to no developments over a possible transfer, which is forcing United to look for alternatives.

Ansu Fati is among the players who have emerged on Manchester United’s radar. As far as Dybala is concerned, while he has the ability to play on the right wing, he is better off in a central position, where the Red Devils already have first-choice options who are delivering on a consistent basis. Tottenham, though, could perhaps do with someone like Dybala.

At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Jose Mourinho has used the 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 formations, with Giovani Lo Celso being the preferred choice to reprise the no. 10 role. But, beyond Lo Celso, there is very little for the former Manchester United boss to choose in terms of quality options. Dybala, to that end, could be a viable target for Tottenham while also an option to lead the line, if need be.

However, his €100 million price tag could prove to be a hindrance for Spurs, who might not have the sufficient funds to sign him. Manchester United, on the other hand, should steer clear of a possible move. What remains to be seen, though, is if Dybala is indeed put on the transfer list and if he subsequently leaves Juventus.
