Alexandre Lacazette is in line to start ahead of Eddie Nketiah for Arsenal when they take on Leicester City at the Emirates on Tuesday.

Arsenal will be aiming to make it five wins in five matches across all competitions, when they play hosts to Brendan Rodgers’s Leicester City side this midweek.

Ahead of the game, manager Mikel Arteta has no fresh injury concerns, with Calum Chambers, Gabriel Martinelli, Pablo Mari and Bernd Leno the ones unavailable. Mesut Ozil is a doubt for the game, while Matteo Guendouzi continues to be frozen out. With the North London derby coming up at the weekend, Arteta might look to rotate some of his players.

David Luiz has looked far more assured playing at the centre of a three-man backline and should continue on Tuesday, but Shkodran Mustafi is likely to be given a rest, while Sead Kolasinac could be left out as well. Sokratis and Rob Holding are in line to replace the two.

Cedric Soares started as the right wing-back in the last game, but is expected to make way for Hector Bellerin, while on the left side of the Arsenal defence, Kieran Tierney’s impressive run of form should guarantee him another start.

Granit Xhaka has been on a resurgent run since the restart of the campaign and should continue in the middle. However, he may be in for a change of partner, with Joe Willock likely to get a chance after impressing in back-to-back cameos. Dani Ceballos will make way.

Nicolas Pepe missed the last game due to the birth of his child and it remains to be seen if he is available for selection for Tuesday’s fixture. Even then, Bukayo Saka’s goalscoring performance against Wolves should get him a starting berth on the right flank against the Foxes.

Alexandre Lacazette also scored last time out, after coming on as a sub. Speaking of the Frenchman, Arteta, in his pre-match presser, said, “I’m delighted for him because he completely deserved it. It’s been a long time since he scored away from home but he scored a crucial goal for us again. Not only that, but his contribution when he stepped onto the pitch was massive.”

Following the goalscoring display, Lacazette should get the nod over Eddie Nketiah in the centre-forward slot. Captain and leading goalscorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a guaranteed starter on the left wing for the home team.

Arsenal Predicted XI: Martinez; Sokratis, Luiz, Holding; Bellerin, Willock, Xhaka, Tierney; Saka, Lacazette, Aubameyang
