Jorginho is reportedly ready to call it quits at Chelsea amid interest from Juventus, who will need to pay €70 million to sign him.

According to a report by Italian publication Tuttosport, Jorginho could be set to be reunited with Maurizio Sarri at Juventus in the summer transfer window. The Italian international is open to the idea of leaving Chelsea, but the Bianconeri will have to shell out €70 million to secure his services.

Jorginho joined Chelsea in the summer of 2018, following Maurizio Sarri from Napoli. Sarri only lasted one year at Chelsea before joining Juventus and it was widely reported that Jorginho would be on his way to Turin as well. However, the player stayed put and has slowly become a key figure for the Blues under Frank Lampard.

Such has been the 28-year-old’s impact for Chelsea this season that Lampard has made him the club’s vice-captain. However, it is now being reported that Jorginho isn’t fully settled at Stamford Bridge, which has invariably piqued the interest of Juventus, where Sarri is keen on a reunion.

At Juventus, Sarri has an ageing midfield department at his disposal, with Blaise Matuidi and Sami Khedira on the wrong side of 30. Additionally, Adrien Rabiot is reportedly discontent after failing to become a regular since joining from PSG and has thus, been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and others.

Finally, the future of Miralem Pjanic is uncertain, with the Bosnian coincidentally being linked with Chelsea, among other clubs. Interestingly, it has been reported that Juventus are hoping to lure the Blues into parting ways with Jorginho by offering Pjanic in a player-plus-cash deal.

Now, though, it looks like Juventus might be well placed to secure the services of Jorginho anyway, with the player open to the prospect of leaving Chelsea. The report suggests that all is not well between the 28-year-old and the west London club, and Sarri is hoping to pounce on the situation.

Juventus, though, will need to fork out €70 million to land Jorginho, a valuation that might perhaps be the only hurdle between Sarri and a reunion with his former Napoli and Chelsea charge.

For now, what seems clear is that Juventus will be in the market looking to secure the signature of Jorginho in the summer transfer window. With the Italian international ready to leave Chelsea, the only bone of contention will be the transfer fee and it remains to be seen if the Bianconeri are willing to pay €70 million to bring him to the Allianz Stadium.
