Unsettled Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso could depart the club in the summer, with Arsenal & Manchester United among clubs interested in his services.

According to Foot Mercato, Bayern Munich star is Corentin Tolisso is facing an uncertain future at the club. The midfielder, who arrived from Olympique Lyon in 2017 is likely to leave Allianz Arena in the summer after a disappointing spell in Germany.

Tolisso’s current situation at Bayern has alerted a host of clubs across Europe including Arsenal and Manchester United. The player is in favour of a move away from Bavaria, although the Premier League giants could face stiff competition from Atletico Madrid and Juventus as well as Napoli.

Tolisso’s departure from Bayern won’t come as a surprise to a majority of their fans. The Bundesliga giants were always tipped for a major squad overhaul in the summer, following the success of current manager Hansi Flick, who recently signed a three-year contract with the club.

While the record German champions are keen on keeping hold of their old guards like Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer, with the former recently signing a two-year extension, they are also keen on bringing in more quality in the side. Kai Havertz, for one, could be a possibility, with the player himself keen on moving to Bayern.

Tolisso’s departure, in that regard, could make way for the Bayer Leverkusen starlet, who is regarded as one of the most talented young individuals in Europe.

As for the player himself, a move away from Bundesliga could make a world of sense. The Frenchman has struggled with fitness throughout his career at Bayern. His lack of game-time has already seen him move below Leon Goretzka, Joshua Kimmich and even Javi Martinez in the pecking order.

This season, for example, Tolisso has appeared in 13 league matches with just seven starts despite being mostly fit. And that’s where Arsenal and Manchester United could come into the fray. Both the Premier League giants can offer regular game-time to the French World Cup winner, with Man United, in particular, desperate to sign a new midfielder.

Star man Paul Pogba has already been linked with a move away from Old Trafford. And it is almost needless to point out that the Frenchman’s departure could create a massive void in the creative unit. Tolisso, in that regard, could fill that hole.

Arsenal, meanwhile, could be looking for a replacement for Dani Ceballos, who is expected to return to Real Madrid after the end of the campaign. Tolisso’s ability to carry the ball around and distribution possession make him an ideal alternative for the Spaniard.
