Former Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey could be reportedly included in the deal which sees Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba return to Juventus.

According to a report from Daily Mail, Juventus want to strengthen their pursuit of Paul Pogba and are set to include Aaron Ramsey in a player-plus-cash deal in the summer.

Ramsey joined the Bianconeri in the summer of 2019 on a free transfer from Arsenal after his contract with the Gunners expired. He’s been in and out of Maurizio Sarri’s team, and has failed to find his feet in Italy.

The 29 year old has been involved in a mere 15 games for Juventus since his arrival, out of which he’s started only 9. In these handful minutes, Ramsey has managed to find the net 3 times, and has assisted once.

The most notable of the his goal contributions came against Inter Milan, in a game which was played behind closed doors. Juventus defeated Antonio Conte’s men 2-0 to take charge in the title race. Ramsey scored the opener and then assisted Dybala for the dagger.

World Cup winner Pogba’s departure from Manchester United this season seems inevitable. All this has been boosted by his agent Mino Raiola, who has stirred up controversy with his statements about his client being unhappy.

The 27 year-old’s United contract ends in June, 2021, and with an extension probably not on the cards, Ed Woodward will be looking to dispatch the Frenchman to get a chunk, if not all of his £89 million investment back.

What could work in favour for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men is that Ramsey will probably be a better fit if they are looking to build their team around Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese star arrived in England no more than 2 months ago and has already been sensational, picking up the PFA Player of the Month award in his first month.

Ramsey is a brilliant off the ball runner, and his work ethic is quite exemplary as well. The former Arsenal midfielder could feed off of Bruno’s sublime ball playing skills and vision as opposed to someone like Pogba who would like to have the ball as much as, if not more than Fernandes.

The world of football has not seen enough of Pogba this season, whose season has been put in jeapordy because of an ankle injury. He’s only appeared 7 times this season, and has 2 assists to show for his efforts. This deal could actually work in favour of United, who are gaining a world class player with substantial experience in the Premier League and some cash for Paul Pogba.
