Bournemouth are reportedly ready to continue their summer spending with a £25 million bid to be tabled for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson imminently.

Bournemouth have been one of those sides this summer who have done their business under the radar. Manager Eddie Howe is in no mood to put a stop to the summer spending as he targets few more faces before the season begins. According to The Sun, the Cherries are prepared to offer as much as £25 million for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson.

Bournemouth’s transfer window so far could be judged based on their purchases as well as their resilience in holding on to their existing stars. Against the odds, there have been no high profile departures of some of their top performing players from last season. Howe has ensured his team is stronger before the season begins through a series of good signings.

The Bournemouth manager now wants to add to his attacking options and has Liverpool winger Harry Wilson in his sights. The Cherries are prepared to offer 25 million for one of Liverpool’s fringe stars and strengthen their wide areas.

Howe wants Wilson even though Ryan Fraser and David Brooks performed brilliantly from wide areas last season. Howe seems to want to add a competitive edge in his side for the new season and believes Wilson could be his answer.

However, the uncertainty surrounding Fraser’s future also comes into the picture. With one year left on his deal, the Scotsman was widely expected to leave. Arsenal were reported to be pursuing a deal for him, but Fraser has hinted at staying at the club.

Brooks too, has been a reported target for many clubs. So far, the Cherries have been able to hold on to their two stars and both players seem destined to spend next season at the Vitality Stadium. Howe though, understandably wants to avoid any late transfer drama by making attacking reinforcements.

Wilson has not featured regularly for Liverpool. With Jurgen Klopp having the privilege of many quality options out wide, he might be tempted to sell Wilson if a right offer comes in. Recent reports have also suggested that Klopp also agreed to sell Ryan Kent, another one of Liverpool’s young stars as he looks content with the options he has.

Wilson could also be in line for a departure, with reports suggesting that Liverpool have slapped a £25 million price tag on him. Welsh international Wilson was on-loan at Derby County last season and ended the term with 18 goals in all competitions.

Despite lacking Premier League experience, Howe is ready to splash on the winger as he views Wilson as a future performer. Additionally, Wilson’s young age would enable the Bournemouth boss to develop him in his mould, with his best years are ahead of him, thus justifying the sizable investment.

Wilson could thrive under someone like Howe. Although there are few managers of Klopp’s calibre, Liverpool’s richness in attacking talent means Wilson will undoubtedly see less playing time. So, a move to Bournemouth will be ideal for Wilson to take the next step in his career and play regular Premier League football starting next season.
