Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi has reportedly agreed a new bumper £100,000 per week five-year contract with the Blues.

According to a report by Daily Mail, Chelsea are set to secure the long-term future of Callum Hudson-Odoi. The teenage attacker has reached an agreement over a bumper new five-year deal that will see him pocket £100,000 per week.

It has been quite the year for Callum Hudson-Odoi, who has proven to be an anomaly to Chelsea’s infamous loaning system. The teenage prodigy broke into the Blues’ first-team setup midway through last season, when he was also heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

But, he managed to impress then-manager Maurizio Sarri enough before an untimely Achilles injury brought about a premature end to his season. Before being sidelined though, Hudson-Odoi had amassed 24 first-team appearances, in which he amassed an impressive return of 5 goals and as many assists.

In addition to his displays for Chelsea, the player also ended up making his international debut, receiving his first start for England even before he had done so for Chelsea. But, as the summer transfer window opened, doubts began to surface over the future of the 18-year-old despite his exploits last term.

The English international is in the final year of his deal with Chelsea. And, with Bayern Munich still reportedly pursuing a move for him, it is no wonder that the West Londoners have been perturbed over the situation surrounding their academy product.

Chelsea though, have been keen on tying Hudson-Odoi down to a new long-term deal, with recent reports suggesting that the Blues fancied their chances of doing so. And, the latest report confirms the same, with Hudson-Odoi now set to put pen to paper on a new five-year contract.

The new deal will see the teenage superstar pocket over £100,000 per week, with performance-related bonuses taking his earnings to around £150,000 per week. And, continuing his time at Stamford Bridge makes a great deal of sense for the player.

With Frank Lampard at the helm at the West London club now, major changes are expected in the Blues’ outlook towards youngsters, with Hudson-Odoi expected to be handed a prominent role for the season to come. The 18-year-old can indeed hope to be a regular next term, and for good reason.

Eden Hazard has joined Real Madrid, while Pedro and Willian are in their thirties, meaning Hudson-Odoi can hope to strike a long-term partnership with Christian Pulisic in the wide areas.

For now, all that remains clear is the fact that Callum Hudson-Odoi has reached an agreement with Chelsea over a new five-year deal worth £100,000 per week. While the announcement is still pending, it only continues a familiar trend at the Bridge this summer, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount also renewing terms with Chelsea.
