19-year-old Juventus forward Moise Kean could be on the move this summer as Juventus are ready to sell, with Arsenal among a host of clubs keen on the striker.

Arsenal’s summer recruit drive is nowhere near reaching its conclusion. In fact, the Gunners are yet to sign a player they think will improve their first-team situation. According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are looking to open talks with Juventus for their 19-year-old striker Moise Kean. The Italian side wants to include a buy-back clause in his contract.

Kean was one of the revelations in European football last season. His eye-catching displays made him an instant hit with Juventus where he scored 8 goals in 21 appearances for the club. At the end of the season, he looked like the real deal, and no one expected Juventus to put him on the market just yet. However, he is reportedly on the market with a host of Premier League sides interested in signing him.

His agent, Mino Raiola has informed Juventus about the growing interest, and the club have allowed talks to begin with interested parties. Arsenal are thought to be among the front-runners for Kean’s signature. Unai Emery’s side have decent firepower upfront, but the manager would want more quality as his team competes on multiple fronts.

The departure of Danny Welbeck at the end of last season has left Arsenal with a space to fill in the forward line. Currently, much of the load remains with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. The Gunners are also pursuing Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha and Gremio’s Everton Soares. Kean’s addition will be a significant investment for the future.

However, the complication with the deal arises from Juventus’ demand to include a buy-back clause. This clause, which will be activated two years from his transfer, will allow Juventus to repurchase Kean at €40 million. Juventus are currently demanding €35 million for the forward.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are not interested in inserting this buy-back clause. In fact, the Gunners are understood to be ready to pay €40 million now to remove such a clause. Juventus sure consider the player a significant asset for the future, as they are prepared to offer him a new deal till 2024 before selling him.

Everton are also thought to be interested in bringing Kean to the Premier League. The Merseysiders are considered to be in the market for a striker, who they are hoping to fill the empty void left by Romelu Lukaku two years ago. They are interested in Kean to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season.

Additionally, Everton do not have a problem with the buy-back clause and are ready to do a deal for the young Italian striker. Interestingly, Everton are taking on Arsenal in the Zaha chase as well, as they are prepared to meet Palace’ valuation of the player.

Kean has a bright future ahead of him. Although it is thought he’d like to continue at Juventus, the current quality would prevent him from playing the number of games he’d like. He could bolster a team like Arsenal and Everton. However, if he is to choose Arsenal over Everton, the Gunners’ refusal of the buy-back clause could complicate the deal.
