Barcelona and Real Madrid are reportedly keeping a close eye on Corinthians forward Pedrinho, who is currently representing Brazil at the latest Toulon tournament.

Spanish publication Sport claim that Pedrinho is garnering a lot of attention. The Corinthians youngster is reportedly on the radar of Barcelona, with the forward catching the attention of club scout Lliva Gonzalez. Real Madrid have also been credited with interest in the Brazilian starlet.

Sport add that Corinthians are aware of the interest of Barcelona and Real Madrid. As per the report, Barcelona know Pedrinho’s potential from a long time now but have labelled him as a raw talent and are unsure whether the player is ready for a move to Europe just yet.

Pedrinho joined Corinthians in 2013 and has since been regularly flagged as a wonderkid. While he did get recognition in 2016 at the lower age levels, 2017 saw him bag the Copa Sao Paulo de Futebol Junior title as Corinthians won the trophy for the tenth time in their history.

So far, Pedrinho has racked up 106 senior appearances for Corinthians. But, his start to the 2019 league campaign has been by far his best, with the 21-year-old already boasting 3 goals in 5 league games to date. With Pedrinho finally learning to shine amongst the big boys, Barcelona and Real Madrid have entered the scene.

Pedrinho is currently representing Brazil at the Toulon Tournament, with the nation set to face Republic of Ireland in the semi-final of the 47th edition of the event. Pedrinho has just 1 goal so far but has impressed with his flair on the field.

Barcelona have been chasing Pedrinho for a while now. The Catalan giants and Real Madrid have made South America one of the hotspots to recruit budding youngsters in recent times, with deals done for wonderkids like Emerson, Arthur, Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr.

But, Pedrinho was earlier lauded by his agent to Premier League giants Liverpool and Chelsea back in September, 2018, with neither club launching the offensive for the Corinthians talent then. With another year of first-team football under his belt, Pedrinho is likely more mature to adjust to a move to Europe.

While no fee has been quoted by the report, it does state that Corinthians have set an asking price that is preventing Barcelona and Real Madrid to make an offer for the 21-year-old right now. But, over time, things could change, if either club appears to be in need of an influx of attacking talents.
