Juventus are reportedly the latest club to enter into talks to sign out-of-favour Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez, who is also an Inter Milan target.

According to a report by The Independent, Alexis Sanchez is the subject of interest from another Serie A club. Juventus are interested in signing the Manchester United flop in the summer transfer window, and are set to battle Inter Milan for his signature.

Alexis Sanchez joined Manchester United from Arsenal as part of an unprecedented swap deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan head the other way. While there was a lot of excitement surrounding the Chilean when he made his way to Old Trafford, the 18 months that have transpired have been nothing short of anti-climactic.

In 45 appearances for Manchester United, the 30-year-old has just 5 goals and 9 assists to show for his efforts. And, after a disastrous maiden full season at the club, Sanchez’s future appears to be away from United. While his stock may have taken a beating, Inter Milan and Juventus are two top clubs that remain keen on signing him.

At Inter, the future of former captain Mauro Icardi is uncertain, while the likes of Matteo Politano and Keita Balde Diao are set to depart from San Siro in the summer. Sanchez is thus, a viable target for the Nerazzurri, although they would only sign him if he is willing to take a pay cut.

Juventus, on the other hand, could do with some attacking reinforcements in the summer, with the future of Paulo Dybala up in the air. As per recent reports, the Argentine is set to leave the Serie A champions, which would open up a space for Sanchez in the attacking unit.

But, like Inter, Juventus will only sign the former Arsenal superstar if he is willing to take a pay cut. And, The Independent claim that there has been progress in talks between the clubs, Manchester United and the player’s representatives.

Manchester United are desperate to get Alexis Sanchez off their books this summer. The 30-year-old can bring a wealth of experience to both Inter Milan and Juventus, including from his stint at Udinese, and it remains to be seen where he ends up eventually. What does look likely is that he has no future at Manchester United.
